About
It is an honor to participate with you in the process of making change!
I view therapy as an empowering and collaborative process. I am a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. My philosophy integrates existential humanistic ideals with practical cognitive behavioral techniques. My style is respectful, gentle and nurturing; encouraging you to identify and focus on your strengths and expand your self awareness in order to create the life you want to have.
Together, we can address changes that require a few sessions or take a more long term, insight-oriented approach to create deeper personal growth. Whichever path you choose, I offer a safe place to move at your own pace.
Therapeutic issues I commonly work with: life changes, aging, adult children of dysfunctional families, infant and pregnancy loss, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma recovery, care-giving and chronic illness, meaning-making, and adoption-related issues. My office is centrally located in a renovated turn-of-the-century home which exudes warmth, character and discretion.
